On Summer in the Midst of Winter

Hannah and I are in Florida. It's actually the panhandle of Florida so my son reminds me that it's more technically "Lower Alabama" than it is Florida. But it's warm here and the flowers are blooming, the birds singing and the breezes are gentle. Back in Nebraska, it's snowing and cold.

My knees like Florida and so do my ankles and wrists. It feels good to not have the aches and pains I get when I go out in the cold.

But we're saying goodbye to Florida soon. Ryan will be moving to Mississippi next week and then we'll fly home to Nebraska. I hope the warm weather follows us, because I will miss it. But I miss my dear husband and middle son and oldest daughter quite a lot. I intend to fall upon them with kisses and hugs when we get back.
